During his lifetime Bruce Lee had three martial art schools that focused on the scientific streetfighting that he referred to his style of combat. He taught the classes himself at the Seattle Washington School, the San Francisco School and the Oakland California School. The Oakland California School was the only School to have a Co Instructor, James Yimm Lee, who Bruce Lee felt had skills the same as his and had full control as Lee went into films. There has been much rivalry and discourse between the students of the schools as Lee had taught different moves at each one leading students to think they were the only ones who knew the real JKD.
